Maccabi Haifa Hoopers play Exhibition Game with Children

Star Player Jackson Says:  "Now you're my family and I'm part of yours!" If you ever feel alone and the going is tough, each and every one of you may turn to me by sending an email."

There has never been such sports frenzy on the playing field of Megadim Village -- basketball dunking, three pointers, spectacular alley-oops, but mainly great energies which swept Village kids into a major sportive craze. Before the event took place, one resident commented: "I already recognize the players that came last year. It's gonna be fabulous to see them in our little court."

Maccabi Haifa players were invited by Village sports coordinator, Uri Maliv. Among visiting players were Daniel Eiden and Guy Josipovich, and believe it or not, Jermaine Jackson, a former NBA player. The players toured the village, visited the family units and spoke to the children.

Later, an exhibition game was held between the players and children. The players told  their personal life stories in order to inspire them to success. Jermaine Jackson's words were especially poignant: "I was a kid just like you. By working hard and persevering I realized a dream to play in the major leagues. I want to encourage you all to keep going and not give up, so you too can reach your goals."  After the players had spoken, the ceremony concluded with handing out of pictures and signatures to the children.

"Now you're my family and I'm part of your family. If you ever feel alone and the going is tough, each and every one of you may turn to me by sending an email." Jackson said. His heartfelt invitation sentence warmed everyone's hearts and won't be  forgotten. He then declared he will come again to Megadim. We all look forward to a speedy return.
